We're excited to announce that Ellen Riley has joined the Academic Success and Advising team as Director of Academic Advising Operations and Engagement. 
   
Ellen is a proven leader in higher education, with more than 20 years of experience in academic advising, first-year transitions, and international education. She earned a BA in political science from Illinois State University and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration/Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina.

She has been a leading advising advocate at the local, state, and national level and has presented extensively at professional conferences on a range of topics, including advisor mental health and wellness, advisement of transfer students, and effective use of peer advisors and peer mentors. Her leadership roles have included chairperson of the NACADA Region 4 steering committee, Vice President of GTAAN, and key member of Georgia Tech’s Student Success Transformation core project team.
