
We are excited to announce that Tara Baker has joined Academic Success & Advising as Program Manager supporting Advising Operations efforts. Her position will be instrumental in supporting the EAB Navigate 360 implementation, as well as other advising operational efforts across campus.
Tara has spent the last 20 years of her career serving in various administrative roles in higher education and academic medical education. Her time spent working with students, faculty, researchers, physicians, leaders, and colleagues has strengthened and consistently reaffirmed her passion for higher education and lifelong learning. She is returning to Georgia Tech where she previously worked as a Faculty Support Coordinator I and II in both Physics and Engineered Biosystems.
In her most recent role as Program Manager for Student Life at Morehouse School of Medicine, Tara managed all affairs related to student academic success and served as an advisor to the Student Government Association, Student MD Council, and 47 Medical Student Interest Groups. Her extensive experience in medical education, student services, program management, event planning, and financial affairs has helped her achieve operational success in the Office of Student Affairs.
Tara is a native of South Carolina and a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. When relaxing and pursuing leisure activities, she enjoys traveling with her husband, daughter, and family, as well as going on deep sea fishing expeditions with her husband in the Gulf.
