Rachael

We are pleased to announce that Rachael Greene has been selected as the Office of Undergraduate Education's (OUE) Assistant Director of Communications effective 1/16/24.

In this role, Rachael will provide leadership for all aspects of strategic communications and marketing for the division and its reporting units, and will set and guide strategies for internal and external communications including brand development, website content and development, social media relations, and other communications initiatives designed to amplify the mission and goals of the OUE.

Rachael began her communications career with McNaughton-Mckay Electric Company in 2015 where she worked as the Digital Communications Specialist for the corporate marketing department.  In this role, she was responsible for developing annual strategic marketing plans, working with regional stakeholders to develop internal and external content, as well as analyzing website, social media, employee advocacy, and podcast performance. Rachael organically grew McNaughton-Mckay’s social media presence by 575% across multiple platforms, taking their YouTube account from six to over 5,000 subscribers and adding more than 4,000 followers to their LinkedIn.  She also oversaw the roll out of an employee intranet and launched a company-wide employee advocacy program.

Rachael holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte. Her work can be found in Another Chicago Magazine, The Masters Review, and Blue Mesa Review, among others.

Prior to her time at McNaughton-McKay, Rachael spent two years teaching English in Bangkok, Thailand and Busan, South Korea.
