With mixed feelings, I share the news that Pre-Health Advisor Mariah Liggins will be moving on to a new role at Georgia Tech. As of April 24, she will be the Student Life Program Director for the John Lewis Leadership Program. This Friday, April 21, will be her last day with Pre-Graduate and Pre-Professional Advising (PGPP).

During her time on the PGPP team, Mariah has developed the Pre-Health Track for the iGniTe program, working with campus colleagues to offer a series of evening events that cultivate community among students in their first semester. She will showcase this initiative in an upcoming presentation at the Southern Association of Advisors for the Health Professions conference in Tampa.

Mariah has also developed and expanded the GT 1000 pre-health course offerings and was nominated for the GT 1000 Instructor of the Year award.

Most of all, Mariah has provided informed support to hundreds of pre-health students in her two and a half years in Pre-Graduate and Pre-Professional Advising. She has hosted dozens of workshops, coordinated student leaders in the Pre-Health Advisory Board, and offered guidance in more than 1800 advising sessions.

The pre-health community and PGPP team will miss Mariah. We wish her every success as Student Life Program Director.
