Since its establishment in 2011, the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) has greatly impacted student success across the Institute. In the summer of 2022, we embarked on a five-year strategic alignment plan designed to guide the division’s work in a way that is inclusive, phased, flexible, and responsive to the evolving needs of Georgia Tech’s undergraduate students. I am excited to share the results of this significant undertaking, which can be viewed on the OUE Mission page.
This alignment process has been driven by collaboration and inclusivity at every step. We gathered critical input from interviews and focus groups with stakeholders including students, faculty, OUE employees, Institute administrators, and OUE partners. These insights have been instrumental in shaping our priorities and will ensure that our efforts are aligned with the foresight and goals articulated by Georgia Tech’s Institute Strategic Plan (ISP).
Through this process, we have achieved a new level of synergy across OUE. By aligning our workstreams and focusing on shared goals, we are better positioned to deliver smarter, more impactful outcomes. We are identifying opportunities for collaboration that will amplify the impact of our work, leveraging our strengths to create meaningful and lasting improvements in the undergraduate experience.
As we move forward, this plan will serve as a roadmap, helping us to remain agile in a changing landscape while ensuring that our efforts continue to foster innovation and excellence in undergraduate education. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and excited for the journey ahead.
With this announcement, we pause for a moment to celebrate this accomplishment: A strategic alignment plan established together and centered around advancing Georgia Tech’s strategic goals for undergraduate education. I invite you to join us as we forge ahead.
