NeKenjie Tarver

We are pleased to announce that NeKenjie Tarver has been selected as Educational Outreach Manager I within the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning (E2L) in the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE). 

NeKenjie earned a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in Sociology from Florida A&M University. While at the University of Michigan, she directed outreach programs for students. She has also worked as an academic advisor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and as a program director at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She is passionate about helping to create learning opportunities for students.
    
In this role, she works with both the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) and the Career Center to connect students with on-campus experiential learning opportunities. NeKenjie will support the Institute’s strategic goal of expanding student access by focusing on limited-income students and their participation in on-campus internships and undergraduate research experiences. 

In her spare time, NeKenjie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
