Olga Kotlyar

It is our pleasure to announce that Olga Kotlyar has been selected as the new Assistant Director of Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning.

In this role, Olga will provide leadership in student innovation, entrepreneurship, and associated high-impact practices and experiential learning areas. She will work closely with academic units, faculty, and other campus entities to promote and grow a thriving community of inventors and entrepreneurs and build upon the existing ecosystem of incubators, makerspaces, pitch competitions, hackathons, internships, courses, student organizations, and other curricular and co-curricular offerings. She will also oversee the InVenture Prize, ACC InVenture Prize, the innovation-themed sections of GT1000 and GT2000 and coordinate other existing programming as well as develop new programming targeting institute priority areas.  

Olga comes to Experiential and Engaged Learning from the Career Center where she was serving as the Administrative Manager since September, 2019. She supervised the Career Center administrative team and was responsible for the day-to-day business operations, financials, human resources, and student hiring. She also managed the Campus Closet Program, led the implementation of the Iris photobooths on campus, and assisted with the coordination of other Career Center events and programs (e.g., Career Fairs, Xperience Startup Internships, etc.) Olga started her journey at Georgia Tech when she joined the Center for Academic Enrichment (now known as Experiential and Engaged Learning) as the Administrative Professional Sr back in 2018.

Olga has her B.A in Education and Political Science from Ben-Gurion University in Israel and has recently completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the J. Mack Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University.
