It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Cory Hopkins, Associate Director for Communications for the Office of Undergraduate Education, has accepted a new position at Delta Airlines, Inc. as their first Communications & Engagement Manager for Delta Professional Services. While we are thrilled for Cory and the adventure that awaits him in this new role, we are also saddened to announce that his last day with OUE will be Friday, September 29, 2023.

Cory joined OUE in 2015 as a Communications Specialist II. Since then, he's been contributing his expertise, dedication, and creativity to our communications marketing efforts across campus. During his nearly eight years with OUE, Cory has successfully managed numerous communication projects, fostered meaningful relationships with stakeholders, and played a pivotal role in enhancing our outreach to undergraduate students. His innovative ideas, tireless work ethic, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our office and the broader university community. In the short 6 months that I have worked with Cory, I am struck by not only his work ethic, but his ability to connect with people and his commitment to the OUE mission and brand. We will undoubtedly miss his leadership and the positive energy he brings to our team and to OUE. 

In the coming weeks, we will be working closely with Cory to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities. As we move forward, we will begin the process of recruiting a new Assistant Director for Communications to lead the OUE communications team and to continue the high standards established by Cory. We appreciate your continued support as we navigate this transition.
