Josh R. M. Parsons joined OUE in 2023 as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Assessment. Josh has over ten years of experience in diverse roles in higher education that include instruction, academic affairs, student affairs, research, and leadership. Prior to coming to Georgia Tech, Josh spent six years at the University of Kentucky working in roles focused on program evaluation and assessment of both secondary and postsecondary educational initiatives.

Josh has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in English Literature from Mississippi State University where he also taught full-time as a lecturer after completing his master’s degree. Josh also earned a Master of Education in Educational Policy Studies and Leadership from Boston University where he also worked full time in academic affairs while pursuing his masters. Josh is currently completing his doctorate in Higher Education at the University of Kentucky where he is focused on the impact of first-year academic experiences on the development of college identity and mindset for low-income, working-class students.
