2018 First-Year Experience Conference

Georgia Tech and the Office of Undergraduate Education were well-represented at the 37th Annual First-Year Experience (FYE) Conference held in San Antonio, TX. In addition to giving several sessions and posters, Stacey Doremus (who works with the LEAD program in Student Life) received a prestigous award for Outstanding First-Year Seminar Instructor for teaching GT1000 and Dr. Steven Girardot was appointed to the National Resource Center’s Advisory Board

USG Accelerated Leadership Academy

Steven Girardot was recognized as a USG Accelerated Leadership Academy Scholar for 2017 by Karin Elliott, Interim Vice Chancellor for Human Resources. The purpose of the USG Accelerated Leadership Academy (ALA) is to build a leadership culture by providing the next level of structured and continuous executive-level leadership development and certification that extend the initial Executive Leadership Institute experiences. An acceleration pool is a concentrated development effort focused on a small number of leaders to prepare them as quickly as possible for more demanding responsibilities.
