As the retention and graduation manager, Debbie Pearson monitors the enrollment and academic status of targeted undergraduate students and assists with the institute’s Complete College Georgia initiative. She reports jointly to the associate vice provost for undergraduate education and the registrar.
Prior to assuming her current position, Debbie worked with aerospace and mechanical engineering students in the Georgia Tech Co-op Program, taught English and employability skills and served as the director/counselor for Student Support Services- a federally funded program designed to promote the retention of underserved populations. Debbie holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Education from Troy University where she also completed counseling certification coursework. In her free time, Debbie enjoys reading, playing the piano and harp, attending concerts and attempting to tame her feral feline friend, Oscar Wilde.
