On April 17th, 300+ students participated in the 13th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. The symposium is Georgia Tech's largest undergraduate research colloquium and is a great opportunity for students to share their research with classmates and faculty from all over campus. A reception follows the event with prizes awarded to the top poster and oral presentations from each college and additional awards honoring the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher (OUR) from each college.

2018 Spring Symposium Award Winners

Students participating in the symposium have an opportunity to share their research; learn about research in an informal atmosphere; gain valuable skills and experience in presenting their work; and they can make an impact on other undergraduates who may be wondering what research is all about.

Event stats:

  • 134 participated in oral presentations
  • 95 judges, student, and staff volunteers
  • 7 moderators

2018 Spring Symposium Program

The symposium is quite an undertaking and it's clear that it could not have been pulled off without the support of the entire Georgia Tech community. If you would like to help in a future event, contact urop@gatech.edu for more information.
